School Break Days

There were a lot of things that could have been done during the winter break of 2016 but what i did during the break was that i went to Guatemala where my family is from and i really enjoyed it. I had gone before when i was about 12 years old so i remembered it for the most part and it was the same only this time i spent Christmas and New Years over there which i had heard that they celebrate it over there very differently than how we celebrate Christmas and New Years over here. First both holidays start with a whole bunch of fireworks throughout the city and those fireworks were bigger and louder than the ones we do here on 4th of July. Also i went on the roof of the house and i could see the whole city light up with fireworks. Besides the holidays there were other things that we did at Guatemala like going to Antigua which is where the famous city and volcano is located at. We also went to a Safari where i saw a lot of interesting animals really close and even was able to feed a giraffe. Also another thing we did was go to a place called Tecpan where there are ancient mayan ruins which was really nice and found out that i had a little bit of native blood in me. There were  a lot of things i had experienced that i hadn't before and those experiences taught me the meaning of being thankful for the little things like being able to go to school, and food, and a nice home, and also not having to work at 5 years old on the streets selling products. All these experiences now as made me a better person and a wiser person.
