“You can’t be right by doing wrong; you can’t be wrong by doing right.”

Thomas S. Monson

Reflection: This quote by Thomas S. Monson is very true because we can never do the right thing by doing something wrong and you can not ever do the wrong this by doing something right. For example, if you lie because you are trying to protect someone that is doing the wrong but you think it's right but it is the wrong thing to do.  Another example is if you think you are doing the wrong thing by telling the truth and hurting a person's feelings it's not because you were honest and honesty is very important. It's better for someone to have their feelings hurt than for someone to be very angry because you lied and didn't tell them the truth.

“Enthusiasm makes the difference.”

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Reflection: This quote by Dr. Norman Peale states that “Enthusiasm makes the difference.”. This means that with enthusiasm everything will change. If you do not go to school or anywhere you go without enthusiasm everything will be boring to you and you would not feel very enthusiastic and the day will go bad. However, if you do have enthusiasm everything will change you will have a better day and nothing will ever be boring again and your day will go a whole lot better. An example can be if you are going to school with enthusiasm instead of saying you don’t want to go then your day at school will be a whole lot better. Another example is if you are going to a nice party with family and your not being very enthusiastic then that party would not be as fun as it should be to you. Dr. Norman Peale says, “ Enthusiasm makes the difference.”.

Dean Smith

Reflection: This is a quote by Dean Smith a former basketball coach that we should all follow because he said that he was not trying to leave a legacy and all he was doing was trying to do the right thing. We shouldn’t do right because we want people to say good things about us when we're gone. We need to do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. “Of all the work that is done or can be done for our country, the greatest is that of the BODY, the MIND, and above all the CHARACTER, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.”

Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection:
Theodore Roosevelt’s quote is something that speaks to everyone because the fact that he says that in a few years there is going to be a new generation that will make the decisions that will determine the destiny of the nation. That next generation is my generation and we need to be prepared to take care of our nation with our decisions. With this quote we will be able to take care of this nation because it's telling us to be prepared and we will be prepared. The way to do that is to educate the body, the mind, and our character of who we are. Then when our generation’s time is up to take care of the nation by our decisions then we will have to train the next generation after us by giving them spiritual and moral training.

“Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.”

Image result for mind body and spirit

Mr. C.S. Haymore

Reflection: This is an incredible quote by Mr. Haymore saying that we need to take responsibility for our body, mind and spirit not anyone else but ourselves and also to take care of it for our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. An example of taking responsibility for your body and mind is to not do drugs because that is probably to number one thing that makes a huge impact towards our body and mind. A example of taking care of your spirit includes not doing anything that you know you should not do like looking up things on the internet you know you should not be doing and if you do it’ll change your spirit forever and it will no longer be pure as it was intended to be. All of these thing can affect your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being and it's your choice of whether you want to do it or not but just know that it's your responsibility not anyone else's. “Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit for your own physical, mental and spiritual well-being.”

It's not a career that i would like to pursue because there are more people trying to become this because it's high in demand so there would be enough LPN already.

“Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Reflection:  This quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is incredible because he says that true education is not completed with just intelligence but it is complete when it's intelligence plus character. Those two qualities show true education. Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skill and that shows how educated you are. An example of showing intelligence is getting good grades in school and being one of the top students that is what intelligence really is. Character is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. An example of character is when someone drops something and you decide to pick that thing up that shows a lot of character. Also being honest and fair shows a lot of good character in you. “Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.”

Reflection: I would not like to be a kinesiologist because i do not see myself working in this kind of career. This career helping and coaching people so they may be physically fit and to push them to exercise and not slack off. I'm pretty sure that not a lot of people are needing people with this profession. So i know that there will not be a lot of work while in this career.

“We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn’t do.”

Richard L. Evans

Reflection:
This quote by Richard L. Evans is absolutely true of what he is saying. He says that we all need to start and continue to do the things we need to do and also have the courage to stop what we shouldn't do. There are many examples of this such as when we need the courage to start something and continue it an example of this situation is school. We all start school and we will finish school eventually but we can never stop once we have started we need to have courage to no stop and continue with school. A example of stopping what we should not be doing is doing drugs and doing things we know we should  not be doing. It does take courage to stop because nowadays there is so much peer pressure and bullying going on between teenagers which will make it hard for a teenager to stop what they should not be doing. “We need to START and CONTINUE what we should do, and the courage to STOP what we shouldn’t do.”
School Break Days

There were a lot of things that could have been done during the winter break of 2016 but what i did during the break was that i went to Guatemala where my family is from and i really enjoyed it. I had gone before when i was about 12 years old so i remembered it for the most part and it was the same only this time i spent Christmas and New Years over there which i had heard that they celebrate it over there very differently than how we celebrate Christmas and New Years over here. First both holidays start with a whole bunch of fireworks throughout the city and those fireworks were bigger and louder than the ones we do here on 4th of July. Also i went on the roof of the house and i could see the whole city light up with fireworks. Besides the holidays there were other things that we did at Guatemala like going to Antigua which is where the famous city and volcano is located at. We also went to a Safari where i saw a lot of interesting animals really close and even was able to feed a giraffe. Also another thing we did was go to a place called Tecpan where there are ancient mayan ruins which was really nice and found out that i had a little bit of native blood in me. There were  a lot of things i had experienced that i hadn't before and those experiences taught me the meaning of being thankful for the little things like being able to go to school, and food, and a nice home, and also not having to work at 5 years old on the streets selling products. All these experiences now as made me a better person and a wiser person.
