Presidents Day




Image result for presidents dayPresidents Day is a national holiday that is celebrated on every 3rd Monday of February. This holiday was originally established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington. This was traditionally celebrated on February 22nd which was actually George Washington's birthday. Presidents Day today is usually a celebration of all past presidents and the current president. There are a couple of things you can do to celebrate President’s Day one of the many ways to do it is to write a letter to the president. Also many ways to honor Presidents Day is to learn more about the past presidents that were in office and what they did to make America great and how they made a huge impact on our communities. Another way is to maybe if you have the chance to go and visit Mount Rushmore which is a national memorial of four specific presidents who are: Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. How i will celebrate Presidents Day is by trying to learn about the past presidents and their contributions to this nation and how it impacted my community. Presidents Day is a great way to learn and celebrate the contributions of the past and present Presidents.
