Reflection:  This quote is very special because the author of this quote William Penn tells us that whatever is right is right and whatever is wrong is wrong. There are many things that is right or wrong but sometimes we can not identify whether it is right or wrong. For example if everyone in school is against wearing uniform it's the right thing to do but we get blinded by the opinions of everyone else in the school. Wearing uniform is the right thing to do even though everyone is against wearing uniform. Another example is that if you go to a party and everyone is smoking at the party then you shouldn't even think about going into that party. Smoking is wrong even though everyone that was at that party was for it. It's hard to tell what's right and what's wrong in some cases because we do get blinded by peer pressure and the opinions of others. Also we tell ourselves if i do this i'll be cool but i don't do this everyone will make fun of me. That is something that no one should have to think the only thing that people should think about in those cases is how it's going to affect themselves. Whats right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.

Reflection: This quote is very important because Peter is teaching us that we shouldn't sacrifice what we want most for what we want right now no matter what. He also tells us that we should write down what we want most and look at it often to remind ourselves what we want the most and not sacrifice it for something in the present. An example is if you want A’s and B’s in your report card then you need to work hard for it and don't go and sacrifice it because you want to watch a little TV because by then you will not want to do the homework then you won't do the homework. A bad example would be if you do watch TV then you don't ever do homework anymore because you are watching TV. Most of our problems as teenagers in this century is that we have all this technology that we abuse almost 24/7 and that is something that has made us lazy,tired, bored, and not energetic. If most people learn and read this quote by Peter they are bound to improve and strive more for what they want the most.

Homecoming 2016

A school homecoming is a tradition that welcomes back former students and celebrating a school’s existence. This is something that high schools and colleges do in the United States and Canada.Here in the U.S. people,towns,high schools and colleges come together for this homecoming it's usually in late September or early October. Homecoming is celebrated with most sports but the more common one is football where they play on the school’s home football field. There is also a homecoming dance which consists of a Homecoming King and Queen. The tradition of homecoming has it's origins in alumni universities since the 19th century. Multiple schools such as Baylor, Southwestern, Illinois, and Missouri have made claims that they have held the first modern homecoming.

In addition there are also:

• A parade featuring the school’s marching band and sports teams
• Spirit week

Reflection: This quote by Coach K is very important because he is saying that we can achieve anything like a world record or win the biggest championship there is but the number one thing that we will accomplish he says is having a good name. Having a good name is extremely important because if you have a bad name and say you are trying to apply to a job and your references tell the interviewer that you do everything wrong and tells him why you have a bad name then you won't be able to work in that job. Another example is that if you do have a good name and the interviewer calls your references and they say wonderful things about you and why you have a bad name then you will definitely be hired that same day. So having a good name is extremely important.

England: Home Manager:  A home manager manages an Elderly & Dementia home. Their salary is 35,000.00 Euros which is about $38,000.

Brussels-Belgium: General Sales Manager: A General Sales Manager will grow a business and will provide leadership,guidance,development,and motivation. Their salary depends on experience.

Reflection: I wouldnt like to take these career opportunities in these other countries because even though that Europe is a beautiful place to work i couldn't see myself working their away from my home.

Reflection: This is a very good and important quote because it tells us that we should always chose to have a good name. Instead of choosing riches and other things that are worth less than your name. An example is if someone goes to the bank and wants to check their balance and they have $200 but they only remember having $50 then that person should call the bank to ask what happened instead of keeping the money that may or may not have been somebody else’s. Another example would  be if you see someone drop their wallet and you don’t say anything and you take it your choosing riches over your good name. You need to always choose the right and choose to have a good name instead of choosing great wealth.

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this career is to teach people behaviors that promote wellness. They also improve health from an individual and communities.

Salary: The salary for this education is $43,840 annually.

Education: Bachelor's degree in health education

Demand for this profession: This career is very important because students need to learn about their health and how to take care of their bodies.

Reflection: I would like to be a health educator because i would like to teach young adults about how the body works, how they can take care of their body, and how they can prevent their body from being affected by a virus or illness. Also i would like to be a health educator because it's an advantage for me so i may be prepared for if i have an illness or somebody i know has an illness i may be able to help that person.

Reflection: This quote is very very important because if anyone tells us to do something we know is wrong we need to stand against it and stand up for what is right. Also if nobody has the courage to stand up for what’s right and you’re by yourself then stand up for what’s right by yourself.  For example if your friends are telling you to jump a fence to somewhere you know you shouldn’t be at then stand against them by yourself even if no one else joins you. An example of doing what you shouldn’t be doing is actually jumping the fence and not doing what is right. I really like this quote because it's hard in high school to do what is right against doing what is wrong because your friends tell you to do it. But this quote has really helped me that if i ever know that theres something im about to do that is wrong then it's okay for me to stand up against it and do what's right even if i'm by myself. I know if people read this quote as well in can bring up thoughts into their mind and stand up for what's right and nobody has to stand up against what's wrong by themselves again. So we all need to not do anything we know is wrong and be the one to make a stand for what is actually right even if no one stands with you and your by yourself.

Chef

Duties and Responsibilities:   Chefs are in charge of measuring, mixing, and cooking ingredients according to recipes. Also chefs oversee kitchen workers, order food supplies, estimate food requirements, and maintain quality assurance on certain dishes.

Salary:  Annual salary is $42,480.

Education:  

• Associates or Bachelors Degree
• Culinary Arts

Demand for this career: This career is important to the community because Chefs are the main instructor of how much food a person gets in their plate and how it's prepared and cooked.

Reflection: I would like to be a Chef or the Head Cook because I've always wanted to pursue a career that involves cooking and food and i think this is a perfect job in that category. Also, this career doesn't seem hard but i know for a fact that it is not easy. It's a challenge which i would want in a career. The educational requirements aren't bad and neither is the salary. I hope that once i have enough experience as a Chef i may get the privilege to open my own restaurant.

Reflection: This quote is very important because it is saying that we should be choosing the right many, many times and then become the CTR champion. Once you become the CTR champion you will have made a great human out of yourself and that is important because you will do all the right things instead of the wrong things that nobody should do. For example is your te CTR champion you will always know what the right thing to do is like if someone doesn't have enough money for something they really need to buy give them a little money that will help. If you are not the CTR champion sometimes you will not be able to know what's the right thing to do and what is the wrong thing to do.

Duties and Responsibilities: These specialists are everywhere and that is where they are needed. Their duties and responsibilities include:

• Collecting and interpreting data
• Performing Inspections
• Renewing and revoking licenses

Demand for this profession: This profession is very needed because sometimes in restaurants they can be unsanitary and/or not have the proper health procedures.

Reflection: I would like to be an Environmental Health Specialist because i am very concerned on how sanitary our community is whether at the community pool, park, restaurants, and different types of other things. Also this isn't a bad career to pursue it has a nice salary and there isn't a lot of difficult requirements. Also because the fact that this career is needed everywhere to inspect and make the community cleaner.

Reflection: I really like this quote because Mark is telling us that once we set our goals to reach he tells us to go out and work and go get that goal. So for this quote it's extremely important for everyone unless it's a person who never wants to accomplish anything which i think everyone wants accomplish at least one thing in their life. If someone wants to join their high school soccer team and that person sets that as a goal they need to go. They can go get it by going to the tryouts and work hard for that spot in the team. If someone sets a goal for themselves to go and do nothing then they should just do nothing to get that goal since then their is to not do anything. Once you accomplish your goal and you achieve it then you set another one and then you set another one and you achieve that one and so forth. You should never stop setting any goals because once you do then what.

Columbus Day

Columbus Day is a national holiday which we celebrate the day where Christopher Columbus arrived and discovered what we call now  The United States of America on October 12,1492. Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, navigator, colonizer, and a citizen of the Republic of Genoa. Christopher completed four voyages across the atlantic ocean under the auspices of the Monarchs in Spain. With his voyages he had 3 vessels called Santa Maria, Pinta, and Nina. Christopher Columbus was born on October 31, 1451 in Genoa, Italy and died on May 20,1506 Valladolid, Spain.

Reflection: I think that this anniversary is a bad thing to celebrate in this country for 2 reasons. One being the fact that when Christopher arrived here in America there were already people here who had inhabited the land as their own. So Christopher Columbus just arrived here and killed, raped, and took the land of the indigenous people. Second this anniversary shows about the day where Columbus discovered this place if he didn't discover America what could have been result of that.

Reflection: This quote is very important because James E. Faust a former president tells us that being obedient will be hard at first that it will irritate us but after a while of obeying it will become something that will be like a reflex. Like other things that irritate us for example uniform will be irritating at first but then after a while of wearing the uniform it will be a reflex and you won't be bothered by wearing the uniform. However if you don't you will always be irritated and bothered by wearing the uniform. James does really prove a point here that everything that we dislike that we know we are supposed to do if we do it more often and more frequently then it'll be a habit and you will always be doing the good thing and hate doing the bad thing no matter how easy doing the wrong thing is you will hate it. He says that when you are obedient it will be a building block and there are many different building blocks like responsibility, respectfulness, safety, CTR, kind, respectful and many more building blocks that maybe now you do them automatically. Obedience has to be our goal and once we reach that goal it will no longer be an irritation to us and neither will it be a stumbling block but this will be a building block.

Pediatrician

Duties and Responsibilities:   Duties and Responsibilities for this career is to provide medical care to newborns - young adults. As a Pediatrician they are in charge of examining and diagnosing and treating children.   

Salary:  The salary is $173,000 annually.

Education:  

• Medical Degree (MD)
• Primary Care and/or  Family Practice office

Demand for this career: This career is important because these are doctors for little kids and babies which is really important because they are very fragile as a newborn.

Reflection:  I would like to be a Pediatrician because i am very considerate about the health of the newborns and young adults. Especially because they are very fragile at these ages and require special care if anything were to happen to them and i would love to be the person to take care of these newborns and young adults. Also because this career is a career that i have been interested in for a long time.
