Reflection: This quote by Theodore Roosevelt is remarkable because he says that in any moment of decision meaning whenever you are about to make a choice on something then the best thing you can do at that exact moment is to do the right thing. This helps a lot of people when they ask themselves what should i do in this decision or what choice should i make. An example of making the right decision is if you are at home and you are bored because there is “nothing” to do so then you have a decision to make to either sit down and do nothing or to go do your homework and do the chores that you were assigned to do. At that moment the best thing to do is to do your homework and do the chores that you were told to do. Also maybe even do the chores that were you were not told to do just so you can feel good because when you do good you feel good. Another example is if you see someone being bullied or someone bullying somebody else then you have a decision to make to either stop the bully or to let it happen and be a bystander that saw the whole thing go down. The right thing to do at that moment is to stop the bully or the bullying that is happening because it is the right thing to do. Theodore Roosevelt says, “In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.” We all need to learn and apply this quote into our lives when we need to make a decision.

Reflection: Theodore Roosevelt’s quote is something that speaks to everyone because the fact that he says that in a few years there is going to be a new generation that will make the decisions that will determine the destiny of the nation. That next generation is my generation and we need to be prepared to take care of our nation with our decisions. With this quote we will be able to take care of this nation because it's telling us to be prepared and we will be prepared. The way to do that is to educate the body, the mind, and our character of who we are. Then when our generation’s time is up to take care of the nation by our decisions then we will have to train the next generation after us by giving them spiritual and moral training.
